Come, Lord Jesus!

Advent is a Christian season before Christmas that means “coming.” The last words in the Bible are “Come, Lord Jesus!” So the season of Advent begins with the end in mind: the second coming of Jesus at the end of the world. We prepare for this by preparing to celebrate the first coming of Jesus into this world: his birth. From the manger to the cross, Jesus did everything necessary to save the world. Advent helps us understand the true significance of Christmas. Because of Jesus‘ first coming, believers will also celebrate when he comes again.
