MINISTRY IS FULL OF UPS AND DOWNS
There is joy in Jesus ascending, having won salvation for us, and then giving the church gifts in those who serve in ministry. Praise God for our staff and leaders!
Notes and Next Steps
Ephesians 4:9-13 + Celebration of Ministry Sunday
The public ministry of the gospel is next level compared to general ministry.
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. (Ephesians 4:11,12)
The public ministry of the gospel is more difficult than general ministry.
People called to the public ministry of the gospel experience ups and downs.
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. (Hebrews 13:7)
Jesus Christ fills it all with his power, provision and purpose.
He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe. (Ephesians 4:10)
So that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12,13)
SPIRITUAL NEXT STEP
