ONLY A FEW
"Get used to different” is a Christian slogan from a series about Jesus called The Chosen. That’s what Jesus is saying in these parables inviting you to follow him, in his way, in his timing, in his direction. He’s not like everyone or everything else. Get used to different.
Notes and Next Steps
Matthew 7:13-29 + Part 6 of the series "The Parables of Jesus: What's Your Story?"
“If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you jump off a cliff too?”
Narrow is going to get you where you want to go, but wide will not.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13,14)
““Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them …” (Matthew 7:15-20)
Know, without a doubt, what the real thing looks like.
Can you know for sure that you’ll spend eternity in heaven?
“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:22,23)
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24,25)
“Get used to different.”
