God is interested in spending quality time with you. It’s called prayer. How can you make prayer more about your relationship with God than about results from God?

Notes And Next Steps

Matthew 6:5-8 + Part 2 of the series “The Power Of Routine"

Jesus teaches that you can improve your prayer life by appreciating prayer as quality time with God.

“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” (Matthew 6:5)

“When you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.” (Matthew 6:7)

Pray more about wanting to please God, and less about wanting to please people.

Pray more about God, about your relationship.
