Notes And Next Steps
Psalm 51:10-17 + Part 3 of the series “The Power Of Routine"
Where do you go for spiritual repair?
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me … Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. (Psalm 51:10,12)
Deliver me from the guilt … Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:14,11)
You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. (Psalm 51:16)
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)
You don’t need to impress God by sacrificing to him your perfect record, your innocence and righteousness.
