OUR WORK BY GOD'S HAND
Be careful of being too careful. The ship that never leaves the harbor never sails to new adventures. Take intelligent, intentional risks for God.
Notes And Next Steps
Nehemiah 2:17,18 + Part 3 of the series “Nehemiah: Rise & Build"
The city of Jerusalem was a disaster zone.
“You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire” (Nehemiah 2:17).
“The gracious hand of my God” (Nehemiah 2:18).
“The God of heaven will give us success” (Nehemiah 2:20).
God in his grace was blessing them with each other.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

- Read 1 Peter 4: 10,11 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. God’s hand gives gifts to whom? for what? When we work for God, how is he at work? what is our goal?
- The Bible doesn’t say, “Lots of people helped.” It records all the names! Read Hebrews 6:10. How does this help you stay faithful, humble and work hard for God’s glory?
- How do you balance “this is what I’m good at” with “this is what is needed right now”?
