WHERE HEAVENLY WORSHIP HITS THE ROAD

The variety of worshippers and the object of their worship in heaven is being reflected more and more in all we do at CrossLife.

Notes and Next Steps
Revelation 7 + Part 2 of the series "Worship Like It's Heaven"

The Apostle John takes us on a trip to heaven so we can see what is going on. Then we will come back to earth and see how our worship reflects what’s going on up there.

There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9)

God loves variety.

God is the focus of worship.

They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9)

God wraps his worshippers in victory.

They cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God,  who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:10)

God fills their hearts with praise for saving them.

Jesus is not just the GOAT, he is the Lamb.

SPIRITUAL NEXT STEP

You are uniquely shaped by your background, ethnicity and experiences. You are also totally loved because of what Jesus has done for you. What can you bring to worship on Sunday that will help enrich the body of Christ?

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. You are uniquely shaped by your background, ethnicity and experiences. You are also totally loved because of what Jesus has done for you. What can you bring to worship on Sunday that will help enrich the body of Christ?
  2. What are the strengths and possible challenges of having worshippers “from every nation, tribe, people and language” worship together? How do we  maximize the blessings and overcome the challenges?
  3. We don’t usually wear white robes and carry palm branches (Revelation 7:9) on Sunday morning. How can we express the truths they symbolize as we worship?
  4. Look at how the gathered saints praised God in Revelation 7:12. Have each group member meditate on one quality ascribed to God and then share that with the group in your devotion time.
