The Bible pictures believers in heaven. “They are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence” (Revelation 7:15).
Space travelers can’t get far without a rocket ship, and cannot stay long without an International Space Station. The safety and shelter of a vessel around them protects them.
In heaven, you will be sheltered by the presence of God, so strong and stable that it rules all things in the universe for your personal, eternal good.
And what are you doing in the presence of God? Serving. When? All the time. Forever. It never stops.
As perfect as God’s care is for you, your commitment to him will be just as perfect.
It won’t come and go. It won’t be strong one day and weak the next. It will always be true, always right, always worshipful, always faith-filled and joyful, forever and ever.
Wow! That’s nonstop, uninterrupted service to God. Heavenly worship.
Make it a goal for your obedience here on earth to God’s nonstop service to be as uninterrupted as his for you.
PRAYER: God, I pray for more consistency in my commitment to you on a daily basis. I want to remain faithful, stable and enduring in my love to you, just as you do in your love for me. Amen.
