What’s the limit of your faith? When it trusts in Jesus, there is no limit!
Sometimes our faith stays small because we know that Jesus once commended faith as small as a mustard seed. However, it’s not really about faith itself. Rather, the object of faith.
In what is your faith placed? On whom does your faith rely? If it’s Jesus, then your faith can indeed be small but that doesn’t mean it’s limited to small things. According to Jesus, that faith can move mountains.
Brandon Lake, a Christian songwriter and worship leader, has released a new song called “Tear Off the Roof.” It focuses on two powerful stories of faith in the early ministry of Jesus.
In one situation, a paralyzed man has some friends with resourceful faith. Jesus is in a house, surrounded by a crowd, and they want Jesus to heal their paralyzed friend. So the “tear off the roof” of the house, and lower the man down to Jesus.
He was healed.
A short time later, a woman of faith who had been sick for years wanted to reach out to Jesus. Once again, a crowd of people got in the way. She lunged in one moment, reaching, stretching, grasping just to touch the hem of Jesus’ cloak. And she did.
She was healed.
What’s keeping you from Jesus? What’s keeping you from a faith that can indeed be small, but if it’s in Jesus it is not limited to small things?
