“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind” (Job 12:7-10).

Here are my two initial reactions.
First—Wow!! The color, symmetry, beauty, mystery, and power of life in these photos of God’s creation outperforms the very final section of photos entitled “man-made.” These artists are excellent, but they just can’t do what God can do.
That calls me to trust God more than I trust myself or this world. He’s better. By far. And throughout the Bible, God issues that call to unbelievers and believers alike. If we’re so attracted to creation around us—the beauty, the resources, the scientific study, the desire to cure cancer or control hurricanes for the good of humanity—why wouldn’t we be more attracted to the One who engineered, manufactured, and delivered it all?
Secondly—Wow!! Kinda jealous. The photos made me realize how God gets all of these views all the time. He gets to look at his creation through the lenses we’ve used to create our best views, and then multiply and magnify and move as God to get even better views.
We have front seats. He lives back stage!
PRAYER: Wow! God, the best photos of creation provide an astonishing view of your glorious and gracious design. Forgive me and all of humanity for trying to outperform your natural wonder. Open our eyes of faith and praise to see your amazing work, trust you, and take care of this world on loan from you. Amen.
