JESUS WASHES DIRTY FEET

Pedicures give a fresh look and feel to otherwise unattractive feet and toes. Our world is filled with hate, divisiveness and self-centered ugliness. Jesus knows how to give it a fresh look, and it involves your feet.

Notes and Next Steps
John 13:12-17 +  Part 6 of the series "God’s Living Water"

“Let me wash it all away. I can wash it clean. I will make you clean.”

When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am.” (John 13:12,13)

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” (John 13:14,15)

“Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” (John 13:17)

SPIRITUAL NEXT STEP

Consider the statement, “That’s not my job.” At work. At home. In a marriage. In church life. What can it mean, both negatively and positively? Would Jesus ever say that?
